THE SHOW:

Road-racing legend John McGuinness will headline this year’s Carole Nash Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show at Stafford, with the 23-time TT winner taking his place as guest of honour at the massive annual event. Once again there will be a huge display of bikes, both private entries and as part of superb club exhibits, as enthusiasts come together to celebrate the emerging and modern classics from the 1960s, 70s, 80s and even 90s! Hundreds of traders and dealers will be in attendance too giving showgoers the chance to stock up on parts, spares, accessories, tools, riding gear, memorabilia and more. Adding to the action this year, there will be a special Saturday auction taking place as part of Bonhams Stafford Autumn Sale to accommodate a single-owner collection of 60 rare, mostly American, machines. As usual, the main sale will take place on the Sunday with a fantastic collection of lots set to go under the hammer.

The Restoration Theatre, a popular new attraction to April’s sister show, will be making its October debut and will once again be hosted by Pete Thorne of ITV’s The Motorbike Show. He’ll be on stage at various times throughout the weekend presenting information and advice on key restoration and maintenance issues. Throw in the Classic Racer GP Paddock, the off-road Classic Dirt Bike Hall and cavalcade sessions in the showground’s main ring and you can see why this Stafford show is set to be one of the biggest and best yet!
